Description of the communicative intention
This illustration shows the inside of the vagina during menstrual bleeding. The eye refers to a look at one's own body, to self-knowledge. The woman on stage flows, she lives it freely without taboos in a microscopic setting.
Given the lack of scientific information about the problems of menstruation, women have come together in order to share and disseminate knowledge to each other. The main illustration is a drop-shaped hug, referring to a reconciling hug with menstruation, it also represents sisterhood and containment between women.
The illustration spot refers to apps and resources to carry and keep up with menstruation. It also represents technology, the internet, communication and obviously social networks, an accessible and close place to disseminate and disseminate information.
I used the metaphor of the volcano since it is a powerful figure to represent something that burns and burns, alluding to revolution and menstruation. It is a figure/ground game, where you can see the volcano and at the top the representation of open legs.
The spot on the calendar refers to the cycle, and the drops mark the countdown to the first day.
Painkillers are the only quick solution to relieve menstrual pain according to the limited scientific research. Inside each pill there is a woman in a fetal position, a typical posture in the face of pain. This shows how women are trapped, imprisoned and with no escape from the non-existent solution.
The illustration spot is a girl trapped inside a drop representing this problem. The model was modified into a drop shape to reinforce the feeling of confinement.
The price of feminine hygiene products makes them a luxury object for those who can afford it. I represented this idea with a drop in the shape of a precious stone.
